Last week Thursday LH1 went to the zoo we saw lots of animals at the zoo and the first animal we saw were alligators and one of the facts that that i saw was very interesting about it is that mother alligators lay 10-60 eggs each time they give birth, when the whole class met back at the elephants place we ate our food. At 12:30 we all sat on the stairs where the elephants were and one of the people that worked at the zoo introduced us to our next station we were learning about flamingos first. We learnt that flamingos used their beaks to comb their feathers to make them pretty and soft.
Next station was the elephant station which we saw munching on some food, John showed us some elephant parts and one of them cost an elephant its life and it was carved and was taken off someone that shouldn't have it so they gave it to the zoo. Last station was the cheetah station, I saw a cheetahs fur and it was lumpy and i learnt a fact that cheetahs can run 100km in just 3 seconds! Half a hour later we had to go so we went on the bus and went back to school it was a really fun day and i hope we can visit it again.
Ka Pai Jessica,
ReplyDeleteThis was such an interesting and informative post- well done using lots of detail, descriptive and emotive language. I also love your photo- what a great shot with so many animals! Which of the elephant artefacts was your favourite? I liked the elephant tooth- it was huge! What did you notice about the habitats? Are you commenting on your blog buddy's posts- remind them to comment on yours too!?
Ms W
PS: I wonder what you will write about this week....?
